As a teenage athlete, I focused on football and powerlifting. I joined the army as a grunt and my focus shifted to carrying heavy things for a long time. Throughout my Special Forces career, my performance expectations broadened with the desire to move athletically in tactical scenarios wearing kit. Nowadays, my personal aspirations are simpler. I have two awesome sons that are dying to outdo me in everything. My goal is to keep them chasing me and my wife as long as I can and to make positive healthy fitness habits second nature for them.
As a coach and a member of our community that’s what I want to provide for others. I want people to have a place they feel at home. I want to give everyone at least one hour a day to hit pause on life and laugh, have fun, sweat, get mad, fail, succeed, and ultimately get a little better somehow. Every perspective, from the young athlete trying to get better to the aging person wanting to stay active, I’ve seen CrossFit provide the solution.

I have always been active and athletic, but not necessarily into weightlifting or strength training. CrossFit was daunting to me in many ways, but I am grateful I started working with the programming. CrossFit encouraged me to push boundaries and show myself that I am more capable than I realized.
My love for coaching started in our garage gym where I persuaded several women to join me in workouts. I loved combining something that was good for us with the community aspect. More than my own successes and goals, I am passionate about helping others commit to their personal goals and surpass them. I love competing next to and challenging my fellow athletes and encouraging them to keep moving on to their next success in the box.

Originally from Chattanooga, TN. I was always very active in sports and athletics as a kid. Mostly playing Baseball, Football and Track. I always admired good coaches and their ability to inspire and motivate. I try to inspire my CrossFit athletes with the same energy and vigor I remember as a kid. I’ve had some great CrossFit coaches over the years and use what I’ve learned from them in my classes. I started doing CrossFit in 2017 and instantly fell in love. It’s been my dream to pass on the knowledge and passion I feel for the sport. It’s the best hour of my day. I have been a member of gyms in San Antonio, TX and Fairbanks, AK. We moved to Clarksville, TN in July 2023 and quickly found a home with CrossFit Blue Light. It is my passion to share fitness and health with others and be the best selves we can be.

I remember as a kid never really being "into sports" we were too busy working. I did typical kid stuff and played baseball because that's what all my friends were doing and as I got older, I started playing football and ran track which I enjoyed but never really loved. I remember being 13 in my grungy high school weight room and picking up a barbell I want to say there was 185 on the bar and all of my friends were in shock that was the "aha" moment for me from there it became a lifelong journey of adding lbs on the bar and seeing how far I could push my body. In my late teens I began competing in local powerlifting meets picking the brains of the strongest people in the room. I truthfully wasn't until my early 20s when I stumbled into my local CrossFit gym that I did my first CrossFit workout, which happened to be Murph.... I was floored and hooked. I found something I was bad at and wanted to be better. From there during my time in the military I realized just how much of a carryover CrossFit had in everyday life. Now as an "adult" my hope is to continue to grow and educate myself in the sport and pass on whatever knowledge I can to athletes. My favorite part about coaching is seeing the dots finally connect for an athlete that's been learning a movement and watching that person gain confidence both in and out of the gym. What keeps me motivated to learn and grow as a coach is truly the community in which CrossFit can build and the bonds that complete strangers can make while achieving new goals together.

I’ve been doing CrossFit since my senior year of high school, so I will be going on my 4th year now. I grew up doing competitive gymnastics for the majority of my childhood until one week I went to a summer gymnastics camp in Crossville, TN where I saw the CrossFit Games on TV. I thought to myself, competitive drive from gymnastics transferred right over to CrossFit. I’ve competed at the Elite Teen Throwdown in 2021- now home to the CrossFit Games for teenagers- and have qualified for quarterfinals every year. I have 2 years of coaching experience, and nothing fills me up quite more. I love being able to empower people through my knowledge of movement and nutrition. Working hard is my love language!

Throughout my life I have always been active. I grew up playing sports from soccer, volleyball, to competitive horseback riding. My passion for fitness grew even more as an adult. I started my CrossFit journey back in 2016, then took a couple of years off with kids, but really found my passion with it again over the last year. I have always had a desire to coach. I started coaching horseback riding as a teenager and would love to see the excitement on my students faces when they finally learned the new thing they have worked so hard to achieve. As an adult, I wanted to combine that passion for fitness and an overall healthy style and help others to achieve that in their own lives. As a Level 1 Trainer I get to help athletes reach their goals and witness the excitement of completing a movement they never thought would be possible to achieve.

I am very cute and snuggly and a little bit spunky. I am still learning my manners, but I am trying very hard to be a good dog. I am happy to see everyone and happy to take naps.
I am a good boy.
